While the winter weather brings about snowy, dreary days for the northern US, it is still warm and sunny in some spots across the country. Enjoy desert golf under the warm sunshine or kick back and relax by the pool or ocean in the Caribbean. From the East Coast to the West Coast of the state, Florida is the perfect destination to escape the cold winter weather. The options are endless when you travel to Florida with stay & play resorts, PGA TOUR courses, and great value all available. Stay and play at the fantastic five-star La Quinta Resort and play at PGA West, which has five courses including the Stadium Course, home of the American Express on the PGA TOUR. Another great stay and play resort in the area is the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells with quality accommodation options and two superb golf courses on-site.

If you are looking for some beach action and fantastic year-round weather, then a golf trip to San Diego is the perfect destination, no matter the season. Stay and play at the popular Torrey Pines Lodge and Golf Resort to follow in the footsteps of the pros by playing the South Course, which hosted the ‘08 & ‘21 US Open and the annual Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA TOUR. A little way up the coast in Carlsbad is another fantastic resort called Omni La Costa with luxurious amenities and two courses on-site with some other amazing courses in the area.


Whether you are looking to experience the downtown nightlife in Old Town or book a stay & play package in the desert, Scottsdale has so many different options for golfers to choose from. Scottsdale has a variety of options for those looking for choice including golf resorts, golf courses with 36+ holes, and classic desert layouts to immerse yourself in the surroundings. For golf resorts, Northern Scottsdale is home to the Boulders Resort, a five-star property set on over 1,300 acres of land and two superb golf courses right on-site. A little closer to the city is the Westin Kierland Resort, a gorgeous four-star resort with over 700 rooms and 27 holes of golf on-site.

Out in the Fountain Hills area of Scottsdale stands the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort surrounded by nothing but the Arizona desert landscape. On-site, you will find two fantastic golf courses, a spa, a casino, multiple pools, and delicious bars and restaurants.

For those looking for something near Old Town Scottsdale, enjoy a comfortable stay at the Hyatt House in Old Town which offers a number of one & two bed suites that can accommodate one to four people. The hotel is located in the middle of all the action within walking distance of the bars, restaurants, museums, and other attractions that Scottsdale has to offer.

While in Scottsdale you can play some fantastic independent golf courses including TPC Scottsdale which has two courses: The Champions and The Stadium, home of the WM Phoenix Open. Other courses in the area to play are Ocotillo (located south of Scottsdale), Grayhawk Golf Club (two courses on-site and host of many prestigious tournaments), and Troon North (36 holes of fantastic desert golf).

Dominican Republic

If you’re looking for something maybe a little more tropical for your next vacation, then the Dominican Republic has got your name written all over it. Located in the heart of the Caribbean, the Dominican offers golfers two fantastic areas of spectacular golf, resort accommodations, and weather that will melt away the winter blues.

On the southeast coast of the country in the city of La Romana is the fantastic five-star all-inclusive resort called Casa de Campo. This winter, make your friends and family jealous by making Mexico your great escape from the cold.

There are two locations in Mexico that boast incredible golf resorts and courses: Cabo and Cancun/Playa del Carmen. In the eastern part of Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula, the popular destination of Cancun and Playa del Carmen are the perfect spots to escape the winter time.
