There are three outstanding championship courses onsite at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
The Ram Rock course at Horseshoe Bay Resort offers a challenging Par 72 layout. The course includes 62 deep bunkers and ten water hazards, making it a true test of your golfing ability. Utilizing the native landscape and natural dry creeks, the Robert Trent Jones design showcases narrow fairways and swift elevation changes, living up to the designer’s philosophy of “hard par, easy bogey”.
Apple Rock at Horseshoe Bay is a scenic Hill Country course. Opening in 1985, Apple Rock presents beautiful Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens. This par 72 Robert Trent Jones-designed course utilizes some of the highest, most spectacular land, starting in the natural rocky terrain and ending on the beautiful shoreline of Lake LBJ, making it one of the state’s most breath-taking courses.
Built-in 1971, the par 72 Slick Rock Golf Course at the Horseshoe Bay Resort spans across 170 acres of land in one of Austin’s most scenic locations. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones and with a renovation in 2016, the course has 71 sand traps and 12 water hazards, creating a classic Robert Trent Jones design of “hard par, easy bogey.” However, with a large range of tee boxes, players of all abilities can enjoy this stunning Austin course.

The “Million Dollar Hole” par-4 14th on Slick Rock is a great photo opportunity! The tee-shot plays across a winding, waterfall-walled bridge. Followed by a cart ride across the water feature.
The par-three 4th is the signature hole at Ram Rock, with the 191-yard island green heavily guarded by water. Your scorecard is only safe if the tee shot finds the green.
