Golf courses at Innisbrook Golf Resort
The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf Resort is the most recognizable of the four on the property as it hosts the annual Valspar Championship on the PGA TOUR. A favorite among the world’s best golfers, the Copperhead Course winds its way through natural forest and the surrounding lakes. The wildlife here is abundant; during 18 holes you are likely to see bald eagles, blue herons, fox squirrels, and the occasional alligator.
The Island Course opened in 1970 and is considered by many to be as demanding as the Copperhead Course, one of the PGA TOUR’s annual stops. A par-72 playing 7194 yards from the tips with five sets of tee boxes for golfers of all abilities, the course is a unique layout. Water is a prominent feature on many holes, with the middle stretch playing along rolling hills lined with cypress and pine trees.
Although a little shorter in length, the North Course at Innisbrook Golf Resort is a great challenge and is often referred to as “Baby Copperhead.” Water hazards feature on 11 of the 18 holes and with tight fairways and well-bunkered greens, accuracy is at a premium. The course measures 6325 yards from the back tees but there are five total tee boxes to ensure golfers of all abilities can enjoy a round on the North.
The South Course at Innisbrook Golf Resort is reminiscent of a links-style design. The rolling fairways, numerous bunkers, and large waste areas offer a slightly different feel than the other courses onsite. The South is a par-71 and measures 6620 yards from the tips but offers four tee boxes for players of all abilities. It’s another great challenge to add to your Innisbrook experience and complements the other courses by providing a different style of layout.
