Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas overview
Widely considered as one of the world’s leading golf resorts, Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is an amazing complex featuring three excellent golf courses all designed by the late Pete Dye, a private beach with accompanying beach club, first-class dining options and many other activities.
It is a complete resort with a fantastic five-star hotel and a wonderful choice of private villas, ideal for golf groups or families seeking a luxury golf vacation. At the heart of the resort is the Marina, where guests will find boutique shops, the yacht club and many other bars and restaurants.
The golf offered at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is nothing short of spectacular with three Pete Dye-designed layouts to enjoy. Teeth of the Dog is the main attraction, as the highest-ranked course in the Caribbean. The Dye Fore Course is a spectacular layout with seven cliff-top holes lying 300-feet above the Chavón River and The Links is a beautiful inland course.
This spectacular 5-star resort is renowned for its elegance and quality. The resort is composed of 175 hotel rooms and 10 suites. All are packed with the finest of amenities, a balcony or patio and a choice of bed options that will accommodate all guests and groups.
A unique addition is the 4-passenger personal golf cart that is assigned to each room, making it very easy to get around the resort. The property is also home to 60 Classic and Exclusive villas dotted around the estate ranging in size from three to ten bedrooms, all uniquely furnished.
There is a wide variety of villas to suit all types of clientele. The smaller classic villas give couples more space to stretch out, families can enjoy villas with connecting rooms or en-suites. For larger families, or groups travelling together, the exclusive and ocean-front villas are the perfect fit, and provide a home-like comfort feel.
Restaurant & Bars
Within the estate, the resort has no less than 15 bars and restaurants including the new Chilango Taqueria in Altos de Chavon and two food trucks. You can choose to be on the “complete” supplement, which is essentially an all-inclusive program and offers great value and freedom during your stay.
In the main hotel area, you have the La Caña Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine, as well as the Lago Grill which specializes in traditional local Dominican dishes.
Go a step further and experience The Beach Club by Le Cirque, from the World-Famous Cirque restaurant in New York, located at Minitas Beach. You can also choose between authentic Italian gourmets at La Piazzetta, Spanish tapas at La Casita, or explore the room service menu which is available 24/7.
If you fancy a drink before dinner or after hours, then Onno’s Bar is the perfect fit. Further options include Coco Mar for cocktails at the beach club, Punto & Corcho for the wine lovers in the marina, and La Cana Bar & Lounge for any refreshing midday drinks.
Please note that not all the dining and drinking options are included on the all-inclusive program but the Golfbreaks team can provide you with all the details.
Spa & Leisure
The Casa de Campo Resort & Villas Spa offers guests indoor and outdoor spa services, with homoeopathy and holistic beauty products from the Signature collection. Hotel guests can choose to have their treatments in the Zen gardens of the Spa, composed of six treatment rooms - on the resort’s private beach gazebos - or in the comfort and intimacy of their own villa.
The Casa de Campo Resort & Villas Spa is a sanctuary of renewal, with 100% natural products to revitalize your mind and body which will leave you relaxed and with little desire to leave this wonderful resort.
The resort is in La Romana, approximately 40 minutes southwest of Punta Cana. The nearest airport is La Romana International, which is located 10-minutes away but has limited flight options. The best option is to fly into Punta Cana International and take a short transfer to the resort.
On Site Activities
Next to the hotel and golf complex lies the Marina. Here guests can go shopping, rent a boat for deep-sea fishing or enjoy the many dining and drinking options on offer. The resort also has a private beach called Minitas Beach, where patrons of the resort can undertake a range of different water sports.
Day trips and excursions are also possible such as visiting Catalina Island by boat, going cave touring, horse-riding or zip-lining.
The 19th hole is the perfect place to stop after a round at Casa de Campo Golf Club, or if tennis is more your sport, then La Terraza Bar overlooks the courts.
Did You Know
The resort sits on a vast 7000-acre property. The good news for residents is that the resort provides a 4-passenger personal golf cart for each hotel room, making it easy (and fun) to get around the resort.
Golf courses at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
Teeth of The Dog Course
The Teeth of the Dog is probably the most recognized golf course in the Caribbean and for many years has been ranked in the world’s top 100 golf courses. As the flagship course at Casa de Campo, this Pete Dye-design offers a truly memorable experience with seven holes running along the Caribbean Sea. Dye himself is quoted as saying he “created 11 holes and God created seven.” A remarkable course, Teeth of the Dog is the focal point of all golf vacations at Casa de Campo Resort.
The Links Course
The shortest of the three courses at Casa de Campo, the Pete Dye-designed The Links is just over 6700 yards from the tips. Located in the interior of the property it winds its way through the resort complex. Rolling fairways, small greens and tall Bahia grass bunkers are key features. Created to give a feel of the links courses you find in the British Isles and with stunning ocean views, The Links offers a fun day on the course and a slightly easier test than the other two courses on property.
Dye Fore Golf Course
Opened in 2005, Dye Fore is Pete Dye’s most recent design at the Casa de Campo Resort. With five holes running along the cliffs and 300-feet above the Chavón River, it has spectacular 360-degree views of the Caribbean Sea, the Dominican mountains and the resort’s marina below. It is considered by some to be more beautiful than Teeth of the Dog, its older, more revered sibling. Offering 27-holes of golf, Dye Fore is packed with variety and is a great addition to a Casa de Campo vacation.
