2026 is shaping up to be another incredible year for golf holidays and with a little smart planning, you could enjoy up to 55 days off using just 23 days of annual leave. That’s plenty of time to tee it up at some of the world’s finest venues.

March to April

Spring is the perfect time to dust off the clubs and get back out on the course. With Easter falling early in 2026, you can turn a few days off into a long, sunshine-filled break.

Good Friday: 3 April Easter Monday: 6 April

Book off: 30 March – 2 April
Result: 10 days off (28 March – 6 April) for just 4 days of annual leave.

Top destinations:

  • Italy: Play Ryder Cup host Marco Simone or escape to Sardinia or Tuscany, with mild 18–20°C temperatures and breathtaking scenery.
  • Turkey: The home of all-inclusive golf. Expect highs of 20°C, five-star resorts, and championship courses in Belek.
  • Canary Islands: Guaranteed sunshine (22°C average) and world-class resorts make this the perfect early-season golf getaway.
  • Cyprus: Combine golf at Aphrodite Hills with coastal relaxation and rich culture.

Italy The perfect location for a quiet spring golf retreat, Italy is a hugely underrated golf destination. Enjoy the many beautiful courses including the 2023 Ryder Cup host Marco Simone, and a variety of incredible destinations to visit including Sardinia, Sicily, Turin, Tuscany & more. With average April temperatures of 18-20°C, the conditions are ideal for playing golf.

Canary Islands With sun-soaked beaches, top-quality golf courses, year-round sunshine and luxury resorts, the Canary Islands offer everything you need for a fantastic golf break in April. Enjoy a temperate April climate, with average highs of 22°C and lows of 16°C – it’s a great location for escaping the showers of the UK.

Turkey The home of all-inclusive golf holidays, Turkey is the ultimate April destination. Temperatures haven’t quite hit the summer highs with averages of 20°C and the courses are in their peak condition. With numerous five-star beachfront resorts to choose from and picturesque championship courses to play, Turkey is a great destination choice for spring golf.

Cyprus A top-tier location year-round, Cyprus is another excellent option for an April break. Play the DP World Tour host venue Aphrodite Hills, explore the heritage, culture & nightlife of Paphos, and enjoy adventurous activities including sailing & rock climbing.

With two bank holidays, May is one of the best months to travel for golf before the summer rush.

  • Spain – Murcia: 27°C average and sunshine galore at Grand Hyatt La Manga or Hacienda del Álamo.
  • France – South: Great-value luxury with golf & gastronomy in Biarritz, Bordeaux, or Cannes.
  • Ireland: Tour bucket-list links like Ballybunion and Royal County Down with long daylight hours and fewer crowds.

Portugal – Algarve Famous for its variety of world-class courses, fantastic culture and superb climate, the Algarve is an excellent choice for a golf holiday in May. With average temperatures of 22°C, conditions are at their absolute best for golf and with notable bucket-list courses at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Dom Pedro, there is no better time to travel to this renowned region.

Spain – Murcia One of the warmest regions in Spain, Murcia enjoys over 300 days of sunshine and continues to be one of our most popular European golf destinations. The average May temperature in Murcia is 27°C making it a great option for May as a destination which will deliver great golf and sunshine.

With well-regarded resorts like the newly refurbed Grand Hyatt La Manga Club & Resort and Hacienda del Alamo, Murcia always delivers an enjoyable golf experience.

France – Southern Region The South of France is one of Europe’s last remaining hidden gems for golf. Abundant with some of the best layouts in the country, the South of France offers golfers quality, class and outstanding hospitality.

  • Wales: Tee off at Celtic Manor or Royal Porthcawl, with the courses at their peak.

  • Northern France: A short hop from the UK with brilliant value and classic courses like Le Touquet and Hardelot.

  • USA – California: Combine iconic courses with coastal sun and major-championship vibes.

Wales Headlined by the likes of 2010 Ryder Cup host Celtic Manor and The Vale Resort, with excellent bucket-list courses like Royal Porthcawl, Pennard and Nefyn & District, Wales is a destination with something for every group, perfect for a break in the summer months.

With average August high temperatures of 26°C and lows of 15°C, and the courses looking at their best, Wales is a great choice.

Scotland The historic home of golf, Scotland has some of the world’s best courses and is the top destination for a break to tick off some of the game’s most iconic courses.

With Open venues like St Andrews, Royal Troon & Carnoustie, to some of the best quality golf resorts like Gleneagles, Fairmont St Andrews and Turnberry, you can enjoy golf in its purest form. With average August temperatures of 19°C, it’s the perfect time of year to visit.

France – Northern Region A staple for golf societies and groups, Northern France is an ideal destination for golfers who want to experience some of Europe’s best courses without breaking the bank. Northern France enjoys average August temperatures of 18°C and when combined with the fresh coastal air, it makes for perfect golfing conditions.

USA – California It doesn’t get much better than playing golf in California and with numerous major championship venues, golden beaches, world-class resorts, and excellent year-round playability, you will have a golf trip like no other.

Whether you fancy an all-out golf experience in Monterey or Palm Springs or you’re looking to spend time exploring the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, we have numerous Californian venues that will suit your needs. With average August highs of 29°C to lows of 19°C, California is hot in August, however, when playing on the coast with the breeze it makes for a truly memorable experience.
