The finest layouts in continental Europe
Home to European Tour venues such as Valderrama, La Reserva and Finca Cortesin, the golf in Costa del Sol is truly remarkable with some of the finest layouts in continental Europe.
Sotogrande can be considered the hub for top quality golf within the Costa del Sol with those courses named all within striking distance of each other. These three are complemented by Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, another one of Europe’s finest, and also the lesser known Alcaidesa Links and Club de Golf La Canada; both quality courses in their own right. Alcaidesa provides the only true coastal links course in the area!
Closer to Marbella you will find Rio Real Golf Course, revered for its constant pristine condition, and Los Naranjos, a Robert Trent Jones Snr design winding through stunning orange groves.
Santana Golf and Country Club is another must-play. Designed by Cabell Robinson, it is set on a former avocado plantation. Two rivers surround the golf course, with a creek passing through to provide a tranquil and picturesque setting. Finally, don’t miss Golf Torrequebrada, just outside Benalmadena, it’s a Golfbreaks customer favourite and known locally as “The Beast”!
