Visit Dubai and discover its beauty

Known for its sparkling oasis, blue skies, and iconic cityscape, Dubai is a bucket-list golf destination with a variety of world-renowned desert courses and first-class hotels. What’s more, the glorious climate provides an ideal location for the shoulder season months - particularly April, May, September, and October.

We'd highly recommend visiting during these months where visitors can sunbathe in the morning, play golf after lunch, and then enjoy live sport and happy hour in the clubhouse after the round.

Away from the course, the city is popular among non-golfers with a range of activities to enjoy. Explore the souks, ride camels, drive a dune buggy, or visit the Warner Bros theme park as part of your itinerary. Furthermore, the golden sand beaches provide the perfect place to relax and unwind while taking in the breathtaking views of Dubai's skyline.

Dubai is a hub for air travel, fly from Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, or London with direct flights only 7 hours. The destination is also a great stop-over when en route to Africa and Asia. The amazing range of five-star accommodations and a wide range of elite golf courses make this a once in a lifetime destination.

Play a myriad of championship courses

Golf in Dubai is unlike anywhere and should be at the top of every golfer's list. In addition to the great weather, Dubai offers immaculate conditions, skyline views, and great value for money, so it is no wonder many pros head out there in the off-season.

The DP World Tour makes regular stops in Dubai both at the start and end of the season, due to its year-round climate and quality of courses. Each January, the Emirates Golf Club plays host to the Dubai Desert Classic, attracting a world-class field, with past winners including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Sergio Garcia!

The Majlis Course nicknamed “The Desert Miracle”, became Dubai’s first all-grass championship course. It continues to be one of the shining lights of the DP World Tour schedule and comes complete with a stellar layout, perfect conditioning, and incredible views of the ever-developing Dubai skyline.

The season traditionally comes to a close with the climax of the ‘Race to Dubai’. The final event is held annually at Jumeirah Golf Estates on the Earth Course, which provides a spectacular backdrop to this prestigious event.

The best golf courses in Dubai include:

  • Dubai Creek Golf Club
  • Majlis Course
  • The Els Club
  • Earth Course
  • The Montgomerie Golf Club
  • Trump International Golf Club, Dubai

For something a little different, check out the stunning Arabian Ranches. The course features no water hazards or defined bunkers, instead, it weaves in and out of the desert landscape giving it one of the most natural feels of any course in the area.

The setup of golf in Dubai lends itself perfectly to playing multiple championship courses during a trip. As well as the aforementioned layouts, there are fabulous courses to be found at The Els Club, Dubai Creek Golf Club, and the ever-popular Address Montgomerie Golf Course.

Our experts say...

You are spoilt for choice with a plethora of championship courses in pristine condition. Flights to Dubai are easily accessible and the year-round weather means you can find great value in the shoulder seasons.
