Jumeirah Golf Estates
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Jumeirah Golf Estates is rightly considered to be one of Dubai’s most prestigious golf courses and it is an extremely popular venue and a must-visit if you choose this incredible city for your next golf holiday destination. The club has a stellar reputation which it has built upon its two outstanding golf courses, incredible facilities, and top-notch service, with all groups who visit praising the great lengths the staff go to ensure that all guests are provided for.
Before you set out be sure to check Jumeirah’s excellent onsite facilities which include a well-stocked pro shop, extensive practice facilities and even the Pete Cowen golf academy. When you’ve finished Jumeirah has an exceptional restaurant and bar area which is perfect for unwinding with your friends discussing the day's golf while enjoying fresh local food and drink.
Jumeirah Golf Estates has two excellent golf courses which are often considered to be two of the best in Dubai. Both the Earth and Fire courses are fantastic examples of the kind of golf experience you can expect while in Dubai, but the Earth Course, in particular, is a real treat and it is no wonder it’s the yearly host of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai.
The Earth Course is sharply defined course which took a look of inspiration from the classic UK and North American parkland designs with strategic bunkering, rolling terrains, water features and tree-lined fairways. This natural design means that every tee shot is defined differently and golfers will not find any holes which seem ‘samey’.
The Fire Course often plays second fiddle to the more well-known Earth, however, that isn’t to say that golfers will not find another beautifully designed golf course which offers a contrasting experience. The Fire Course is characterised by its use of native flora which lines the fairways, its fiery greens and undulating topography, it is certainly a course which should be well-respected when you play.

The 4th hole is one to look out for, at 253 yards from the back tees it is the start of a very tough stretch through the front nine. The final four holes provide an exciting finish with water featuring on all four and a creek on the 18th.
Framed by a wide variety of captivating flora, carefully selected to reflect the overall theme and to enhance its natural setting, Fire plays 7480 yards and is in complete harmony with its surroundings. The 1st hole is relatively straightforward, but the test soon kicks in with the three following holes. A par-3 of over 200 yards followed by two well-protected par-4s.
