Golf and food go hand-in-hand, and after a testing game of golf, there is nothing worse than your post-round meal not being up to scratch. That is why we’ve put together this list of nine golf resorts and golf clubs that feature award-winning restaurants.

Whether you dine at the two Michelin star M.B Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Abama, Tenerife, or the Catalina Restaurant at Lough Erne, with its Three AA Rosettes, these mouth-watering eateries will leave you coming back for more.

All’Acquacotta Restaurant at Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort 5* (Italy)

The Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort in Tuscany, Italy, features two high-quality restaurants in the Aqualuce and All’Acquacotta, with the latter being awarded a Michelin star. The centrepiece to this restaurant is traditional cuisine, with a twist by Chef Alessandro Bocci in a new healthy menu using super-local ingredients. This refinement allows you to really enjoy the noblest of Italian regional cuisine.

The Andrew Fairlie Restaurant at Gleneagles (Scotland)

The fact this is the only restaurant in Scotland to hold two Michelin stars, arguably makes it simply the best restaurant in the country. As one of Britain’s most celebrated chef’s, Andrew Fairlie’s restaurant will live long in the memory thanks to sumptuous food in a delightful setting. His signature dish? Smoked lobster, with its intense smokiness coming from a five-hour infusion over whisky barrel chips, of course.

The Gleneagles Resort

Park Hyatt Dubai (Dubai)

The list of accolades that the Park Hyatt Dubai restaurant in Dubai has gathered is endless, with the Traiteur Brunch and The Thai Kitchen being the stand-out duo. The Traiteur Brunch at The Promenade offers an extravagant celebration of exquisite cuisine, premium champagne and mesmerising views, based on the water’s edge of Dubai Creek. It was recently awarded “Best Brunch” at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards. The Thai Kitchen is renowned for its authentic Thai cuisine and was awarded “Highly Commended Best Thai Restaurant” at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards.

Ocean View Restaurant Trump Doonbeg (Ireland)

Dining at the Trump Doonbeg International Golf Links will be an unforgettable experience with two oceanfront dining rooms offering equally stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean. The informal Trump’s Bar & Restaurant offers culinary favourites, whereas the Ocean View Restaurant has won numerous awards. These awards include being voted “Best Hotel Seafood Restaurant 2017” by Good Eating Guide, and “Best Hotel Restaurant in Ireland 2012” by the Restaurant Association of Ireland.

Ritz-Carlton Abama (Tenerife)

With 13 restaurants and bars, you are spoilt for choice at the The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama in Tenerife, but we would suggest trying the M.B restaurant and the Abama Kabuki, as between them they hold three Michelin stars. The M.B restaurant holds two of the three Michelin stars, and the creative cuisine is skilfully prepared by chef Martin Berasategui using top-quality ingredients. The Abama Kabuki has its own Michelin star and offers a fusion of traditional Japanese influences and modern western culinary techniques, in a stunning location.

La Faventia restaurant at Terre Blanche (France)

The gourmet Michelin star La Faventia restaurant at Terre Blanche is where contemporary French gastronomy is enjoyed at its best. The refined and creative cuisine is inspired by the seasons, the Provencal land and local products, and is matched with the most beautiful local and vintage wines, which is all enhanced on the terrace by the sweeping views over the Pays de Fayence villages.

The Catalina Restaurant at Lough Erne (Northern Ireland)

The Catalina Restaurant is Northern Ireland’s first Three AA Rosette hotel restaurant, and is the epitome of sumptuous dining. Featuring both classic and contemporary dishes with a strong allegiance to local produce, Executive Chef Noel McMeel and his culinary team can offer you an unforgettable dining experience. The commanding views of Castle Hume Lough and the championship Faldo Course are complimented by luxury interiors, creating a dining experience like no other.
