Question 3

Can I enter the event as a solo golfer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept solo entrants to our Open Golf Competitions and will try to pair you up with other solo entrants. Please note this on your enquiry form.

Is there a handicap limit?

Our Open Golf Competitions do not have a handicap limit as we want to make them as inclusive as possible, however, we do require all participants to have an active WHS, iGolf or alternative handicap to be eligible for any prizes.

Have you implemented the World Handicap System?

Accepted Answer

We have implemented the WHS system for all of our Golf Pairs Events as this is now the only way for handicaps to operate with CDH numbers, making this as easy for everyone as possible.

Do you accept iGolf handicaps?

Accepted Answer

We are accepting iGolf handicaps to enter these events, as this is now a recognised handicap system, please just let us know if you are using an iGolf handicap. However, you will need to have played in 6 competitive rounds in the last 12 months, so it makes it a competitive handicap.

Do you accept Golfshake handicaps?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do, however, you do just need to let our events team know about this, and you will then be entered into a separate league for the prizes. Golfshake or any alternative handicaps other than WHS and iGolf do not count for the main event prizes.

Are these events considered competition rounds?

Our Golf Pairs Events will be classed as competition and qualifying rounds.

Can I play in a group with my friends?

Accepted Answer

Of course! We want people to be having as much fun as possible with their friends, so if you get in contact with our Events Team we can be sure to arrange that you are paired with your friends.

What is the format?

The format is betterball stableford, with our golfgenius live scoring system, this allows you to see how much you need to push on the final stretch!

Is food included in the Golfbreaks Pairs Events?

There will be complimentary refreshments supplied throughout the day to ensure you’re fuelled and ready to go. As well as catering options available for purchase from the golf club itself.

If I win, do I have to stay for the end?

Accepted Answer

Not at all, if you’re one of our early starters we don’t expect you to stay all day unless you want to! Otherwise, we will be in contact with all competitors post-event via email and post any prizes to your chosen address.

What is included in my entry fee?

Accepted Answer

In your entry fee you will receive a welcome pack including a sleeve of golf balls and much more, playing on top-quality championship golf courses, with live scoring, refreshments throughout the round, and the chance to win some great prizes!

Is accommodation available? If so, can I get another round of golf?
