Marco Simone Golf Course overview

Designed by Jim Fazio in the 1980s, the Championship Course at Marco Simone Golf Club has had a prestigious history, hosting the Italian Open in 1994 and again in 2021. To prepare for the 2023 Ryder Cup, the course has been redesigned by Tom Fazio II and European Golf Design.

The course is maintained to an excellent standard and is a stern challenge for all levels of golfer. What's more, there are unparalleled views of lakes, the Marco Simone Castle and Saint Peters dome throughout the course, providing guests with a unique yet classic Italian setting to enjoy.

Signature Holes

The signature hole here is the Par 3 2nd hole, with the heavily protected green stretching 185 yards from the tee, whilst providing the best views of Marco Simone Castle behind the clubhouse.

Another of the stand out holes on the course is the 546 yard, par 5 1st hole which plays downhill with a slight dog left to the right.
