Cannes - Every golfers dream
What makes Cannes truly special for a golf break isn’t just its abundance of great courses or its brilliant cultural centre, the climate of Cannes is absolutely ideal for golf. Due to Cannes strategic positioning in the French Riviera just off the Mediterranean Sea, the climate is fantastic. Golfers will find the temperature in summer to be warm, yet the courses remain easily walkable due to cool sea wind which blows off the Mediterranean.
If you find yourself on a golf break in Cannes there are definitely a couple of courses you need to check out while you’re there. Golf de Cannes Mougins, is a fabulous choice. Located 10mins to the north of Cannes, this course is notable for having hosted the Cannes Open in the past, it is a quality track all round and golfers will really appreciate its exclusivity as there is rarely a hold-up. Golf Opio Valbonne has undergone a recent facelift and is now a sheer pleasure to play, requiring golfers to brush up on their iron approach shots, this is quite a demanding course even for the best golfers.
