If you are ready to take your golf game on the road and explore different kinds of golfing experiences, look no further than our tips and trends of the best destinations for the perfect US golf trip.

Orlando

When people think of golf, the first place they tend to think about is Florida. With its year-round warm climate, a plethora of attractions, and championship golf courses, it is THE destination for a golf trip, no matter the season.

While there are plenty of golf destinations in the state of Florida, one of the most popular ones is Orlando, due to its wide variety of golf. When you visit, you will find multiple golf resorts, golf courses, attractions, restaurants, and more all within a short drive of each other, perfect for a golf trip.

Reunion Resort, The Watson Course

Enjoy a stay & play at some great resorts like Omni Championsgate, Reunion Resort, and the iconic Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill, or play some of the golfer-friendly layouts and local favorites like Celebration Golf Club, Shingle Creek, and the Disney Palm & Magnolia courses. Off the course, enjoy the theme parks, restaurant scene, and so much more!

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

Scottsdale

If you are looking for some true desert golf, then Scottsdale, Arizona is the place for you. This golf mecca has everything you possibly need in a golf trip destination. From Top 100 golf courses to outstanding city nightlife, it is no wonder why it is such a popular destination!

Play some amazing desert tracks like Troon North, Grayhawk, and TPC Scottsdale, or opt for a stay-and-play package at the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort or The Westin Kierland. If you want to experience the culture, you can stay right in Old Town Scottsdale within walking distance of the local restaurants and attractions and play golf at some great courses like Ocotillo or McCormick Ranch. With easy accessibility through Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, a golf trip to Scottsdale is well within reach!

Cholla Course, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

Palm Springs

If a scenic golf trip is what you are after, then head to the California desert and enjoy a vacation in Palm Springs. You will find luscious green fairways, desert wastelands, championship courses, luxurious resorts and more! With year-round warm weather and plenty of off-course activities, this destination is perfect for a vacation any time of year.

For those looking to experience the nightlife, book a golf tour with a stay at the Palm Mountain Resort or Hilton Garden Inn, and play some of the local favorite courses like Classic Club, Tahquitz Creek, or the Indian Wells courses.

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, Indian Wells Golf Club

If a stay & play package is more of what you are after, you have plenty of options to choose from including The Westin Rancho Mirage Resort, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort, and La Quinta. Myrtle Beach

When talking about golf destinations, you can not leave out the place known as the “Golf Capital of the World”, Myrtle Beach. This South Carolina hotspot is home to over 90 golf courses with a variety of layouts at incredible value!

With a plethora of off-course activities including 60 miles of beach, amusement parks, entertainment venues and so much more, you will get the best bang for your buck in Myrtle Beach!

Legends Golf Resort

Several of the top golf resorts in the US can be found in Myrtle Beach including the Barefoot Resort, Legends Resort, and Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. Barefoot and Legends have three or more courses on-site as well as condo accommodations to house groups of all sizes.

Marina Inn is one of the finest hotels in the area with one course on-site and conveniently located close to some of the other great courses in the area. For a more vacation-y trip, stay at the Kingston Plantation Oceanfront Condos and enjoy the flexibility to choose which courses to play. We recommend Myrtle Beach National, Caledonia, True Blue, TPC Myrtle Beach, and Pine Lakes Country Club.

Las Vegas

While Sin City might not be the first destination you think about when it comes to golf, we can assure you that it is worth the trip. With the bright lights of The Strip drawing the eye of many travelers, the courses in the area are some of the finest desert layouts you will find anywhere.

You will have to drive roughly 20 minutes from The Strip hotels to get to the courses, but the experience is worth the wait. Play the likes of Paiute Golf Resort, Cascata, Rio Secco, Revere, just to name a few. Hit the course in the morning and explore the rest of Las Vegas at night, perfect for a buddies or bachelor party golf trip.

Bali Hai Golf Club

For golf resorts in Las Vegas, you can find solace in The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort, located 30 minutes outside The Strip. With the Reflection Bay Golf Club on-site, the SouthShore Country Club across the street, and the Chimera Golf Club down the road, a stay & play here will keep you away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
