A striking golf course with huge amounts of sand and water to negotiate, the Moorland course which plays 7,017 yards is an exceptional course in Myrtle beach. Its sculptured terrain features deep bunkers with raised bulkheads and offers 18 holes of truly enjoyable golf. Out of the three award-winning courses, the Moorland provides the greatest challenge of them all and is considered one of the top courses to play along the South East Coast.
Opened in 1992, the course can play to more than 7,000 yards and demands great strategy and accuracy for the entire round. The Parkland demonstrates the diversity and beauty of the natural terrain with contoured, tree-lined fairways, vast natural areas, deep-faced bunkers, and massive, multi-level greens. Even though the course hasn’t been open as long as some of its neighbors it has fully made its mark on the Myrtle Beach golf scene.
The par 71 Heathland course is a great test of skill and course management. The course was designed by Tom Doak and has a distinctly British links feel rather than the usual Carolina golf style. The open landscape allows fantastic views of the stunning coastline. A constant breeze sweeps across the course, which along with the deep-set bunkers, creates a unique challenge for players.
