Dumbarnie Links Golf Course Overview
Blessed with a fantastic piece of oceanfront property that stretches along the coastline in between Elie and Lundin, a modern, high-class Championship links course has been created by architect Clive Clark. Weaving through a mile and a half of genuine links land this course offers uninterrupted sea views across the Firth of Forth with no less than fourteen of the holes providing ocean views.
Built over 345-acres of the Balcarres Estate, the course features interesting elevation changes and has a number of tees and greens located in close proximity to the water. With an impressive 12 sets of tee boxes, Dumbarnie Links can be lengthened to 7600-yards for the pro’s however for the regular golfers, much enjoyment can be found from the shorter setups which provide three potential driveable par-4’s and a number of risk-reward opportunities.
Dumbarnie Links is home to many quality golf holes however the par-4 17th is arguably the standout candidate. A driveable par-4 that plays uphill to a heavily protected green with three levels to it, which sits behind a stone wall that is at least 300 years old.
