Myrtlewood Golf Club

Myrtle Beach, USA

Myrtlewood Golf Club overview

With its ideal central location, proximity to Broadway at the Beach and beautiful setting along the Intracoastal Waterway, Myrtlewood Golf Club has been a long-time favorite of locals and visiting golfers.

Both courses have recently undergone extensive renovations and received excellent reviews. The onsite condos and resort style facilities also make this a great option for the larger groups.

Golf Courses

The Pine Hills Course (previously The Pines) was redesigned by Arthur Hills and reopened in 2017, with the Palmetto Course also undergoing extensive renovations and reopening in 2019. The layouts of both courses have always been good; however, these recent upgrades have definitely raised their profiles.

Golf courses at Myrtlewood Golf Club

Palmetto Course

The easier of the two courses at Myrtlewood Villas & Golf Resort is the popular Palmetto Course. It plays over 7000 yards off the tips and is a favorite in Myrtle Beach with wide and welcoming fairways winding through pine forests alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. Recent renovations by golf architect Dan Schlegel have improved the layout significantly, with more expansive fairways and greens along with upgraded bunkering, resulting in a far more playable and enjoyable experience.

PineHills Course

PineHills at Myrtlewood is a fun and testing layout measuring just over 6600 yards off the tips. Designed by Arthur Hills and recently upgraded with significantly better putting surfaces and bunkers, PineHills makes great using of mounding and strategically placed water hazards that come into play on 13 holes. The fairways are tight, placing a premium on accuracy off the tee, but it is the greens that are most heavily fortified with sand and water to be avoided on most holes.
