Arcadian Shores Golf Club overview
Arcadian Shores was designed by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones in 1974 and was his first solo project since flying the nest of his father’s design company. It is located on the northern end of Myrtle Beach just 15 minutes from Barefoot Resort and 30 minutes from the airport. There is an extensive practice facility onsite along with a snack bar and a fully stocked pro shop.
Arcadian Shores Golf Course overview
One of the older courses in Myrtle Beach, Arcadian Shores combines 10 acres of natural lakes with tree-lined fairways and 64 bunkers. A par-72 and measuring just over 6800 yards off the tips, with a rating of 73.2 and slope of 137, it is a tough but fair challenge to all levels of golfer. Seven holes play alongside the lakes and experts from The Sun News voted holes #2 and #13 as part of the ‘Dream 18’ best holes on the beach.
Signature Holes
The 13th has been named by the PGA as one of the best holes in South Carolina. Par-4 and 408-yards off the back tees. Starts with an up-and-down tee shot that hides an oversized pond in front of the green. Anything short and you are wet, and anything long will end up in a backside bunker.
