Streamsong Resort overview

Surrounded by nature and situated miles from any town or city, the remote location of Streamsong Resort indulges guests in an ultimate escape and the perfect golfing break. The accommodation offers a modern and sophisticated design throughout. At The Lodge, you’ll find 228 custom-built guest rooms and suites, surrounded by wildlife habitats and water views stretching to the horizon.

With its unique location, the resort offers a variety of terrains (nothing quite like the norm for Florida), making the golfing experience a very special one. The undulating fairways and elevation changes make the playing style like links golf, with the wild grasses and pot bunkers adding to the experience. For fans of links-style play, the courses at Streamsong will surpass all expectations.

Streamsong golf courses

Incomparable to any course you’ve ever played before, Streamsong Red course, designed by the illustrious Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw manages to create an out-of-Florida experience for golfers; with its plush Bermuda grass fairways meandering through glittering lakes, strategically designed sand dunes and natural bunkers. Ranked as one of Florida’s best courses, this 18-hole masterpiece, pleasantly surprises golfers of all levels as one of the most inspiring and unusual landforms in the golfing world.

The Tom Doak designed Blue course is located between the Red and Black courses. The layout is a wonder to look at, with several elevation changes, deep water ponds and expansive bunkers below towering dunes, atypical of Florida golf courses. Mining previously done on the 16,000-acre site has massively affected the landscape, creating the dunes and natural bunkering, something you will struggle to find anywhere else in the region.

The vast landscape at Streamsong Black offers magnificent panoramic views across the property. This course offers a different test entirely to typical Florida courses, rather than artificial water features and housing developments, there are rugged dunes and expansive sandy areas. Despite the Black course being located between the Red and Blue courses the land is entirely different. This Gil Hanse design is far more expansive than the other courses and has more wasteland areas throughout.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers a modern and sophisticated design throughout. At The Lodge, you’ll find 228 custom-built guest rooms and suites, surrounded by wildlife habitats and water views stretching to the horizon. In designing the property, the goal was to "redefine the concept of what a resort is to what a resort can be," and situated in the middle of nowhere, the unexpected landscape perfectly encapsulates the beauty of Streamsong.

The Clubhouse also houses 12 guest rooms, a hospitality room, a golf shop and an outdoor terrace overlooking a lake and the beautiful golf courses.

Restaurant & Bars

Guests will not go hungry at Streamsong, with four excellent options from relaxed to fine dining, as well as multiple bars. At the Clubhouse you’ll find Restaurant Fifty-Nine, a steak & seafood experience that is a must during your stay.

Spa & Leisure

Guests can experience complete tranquillity and bliss with a fully serviced spa, an outdoor pool beside the lake, and a quiet loft & lounge area as well as the excellent fitness center, to help keep in great shape whilst on vacation. The spa provides eight different treatment rooms and six unique pool experiences, perfect for relaxing off the course and for any non-golfers within the group.

Location

Streamsong Resort is situated in a remote location just over an hour’s drive to the south-east of Tampa.

On Site Activities

In addition to the golf, there is an excellent health and wellness facility at Streamsong plus activities such as guided bass fishing, sporting clays and archery.

The Clubhouse at Streamsong

The Clubhouse at Streamsong is nestled in the natural dunes and is the perfect place for a drink (or two) after you complete your day’s golf. Take a seat on the outdoor terrace with your buddies and enjoy the view of the lake and the golf course terrain.

Caddies at Streamsong…

The courses at Streamsong have been specifically designed for walking, with the strong belief that in doing so, you can truly appreciate the subtle undulations of the fairways, the natural contours of the land, and the many nuances of the course architecture. Caddies can be pre-booked to enhance your experience, providing knowledge and insight into this amazing piece of property. Carts are available at certain times of the year and certain times of the day and medical exemptions will be made, however, if you can walk the courses, you will appreciate them to their full extent.

Signature holes

The three courses at Streamsong have an abundance of stunning holes. However, the par-3 7th hole on the Blue course gets a lot of attention. Played across a stretch of the strip mine river, you tee off from an elevated dune aiming to hit the green which is nestled inside a dune complex on the other side of the water – nothing short of spectacular!
