Killarney Golf & Fishing Club overview
Golf has been played at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club since 1891, however, nowadays golfers will find two interesting 18-hole courses (Killeen Course and Mahony’s Point) and a 9-hole course (Lackabane). Set in the beautiful Killarney National Park just outside the town of Killarney, the club also has a wonderfully positioned clubhouse with a restaurant that offers panoramic views of Lough Leane, the golf courses and surrounding mountains.

The two 18-hole courses at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club offer excellent inland/parkland golf in a spectacular setting. The courses are characterized by mountainous backdrops and stunning lakeside scenery, so be prepared to have water come into play on many of the holes! The more recent Killeen Course has played host to the Pro’s on the European Tour for the Irish Open on several occasions.

Killeen Course
The Killeen Course is the centerpiece at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, offering excellent parkland golf and a welcome respite from the crowds and challenges of the big links courses that the south-west is predominantly known for. Located in the beautiful Killarney National Park, golfers will have much to look at during their round but the course itself also provides plenty of interest with water coming into play on most holes, a collection of solid par-3s, and a superb home stretch.
Mahony's Point Course
Whilst Mahony’s Point has changed over the years, it is still very much the original course at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and retains the old-school charm of parkland golf. Offering excellent views of Lough Leane and the Killarney National Park, this in-land gem offers a great opportunity for golfers to relax in beautiful surroundings and enjoy a more playable, straightforward course. A great way to start a trip or to take a breather from the demanding links in this region.
