The Knights Course at Meldrum House Golf Club is a beautiful parkland layout, that hugs around the 800-year old hotel and measures just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Designed by Graeme Webster, water comes into play at ten of the holes with the 11th hole, which is a Par 5, has 18 bunkers guarding the green. There is also a choice of five tee positions at each hole to ensure every kind of player enjoys the course. The practice facilities are also world-class and extend to 24 acres with a dozen target greens, short game area, latest video analysis, and a driving range. The course has been ranked in the Top 100 Scottish courses by Golf World. The facilities also include a Clubhouse and Pro Shop plus expert advice from Head Pro, Neil Marr who is ranked as one of Golf Monthly’s top 25 golf professionals.
Meldrum House Hotel boasts 51 unique luxury bedrooms, all individually furnished and full of unique Scottish character. The warm furnishings and the stunning ballroom add to the traditional feel throughout the hotel. However, the excellent modern amenities bring the hotel up to date, a television, snack tray, free Wi-Fi and even an iPod docking station.
The Chain Lodge is perfect for golf packages with a group of friends or as a family, the private building is just a short walk from the hotel and comes with its own kitchen and lounge area. However, the drink service remains the same as the hotel so you are being well looked after within the privacy of your own retreat.
The Stables is the latest addition to Meldrum House with 13 spacious double rooms, decorated in contemporary Scottish luxury and has kept some of the building’s beautiful architectural features, including beams in the ceiling. All the amenities you would expect from the Maldron House's main hotel come included with the room.
Restaurant & Bars
For dining, there are 2 options. 1236 was launched in the 800-year old Cave Bar and its name relates to the year Meldrum House was built. It serves Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner from 9 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week. The focus is on informal and social small plate dining, inspired by ingredients that are local to the hotel. It also boasts a terrace for outdoor dining in the warmer months.
Pineapple Grill and Seafood is in our Dining Room with a fireplace and views out to the golf course. Historically, the pineapple symbolizes welcome, friendship and great hospitality – which sums up the vibe in the 2 Red Rosette restaurant perfectly. The menu brings together the best fresh seafood and meat, keeping food locally sourced. It also promotes 3 locally renowned Aberdeenshire butchers.
