Getting there

Take a 7-hour flight to either Dubai or Abu Dhabi with British Airways or Emirates. On arrival in Dubai, the tourist hub of downtown Dubai is a mere 10 minutes away, while the Marina is a 30-minute drive. For Ras Al Khaimah, transfers take around 45 minutes. On arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, you will be left with a short 10-minute transfer to Abu Dhabi centre.

When to go

Expect a subtropical climate, typical of any desert destination. Average temperatures range from 19.5 degrees in January to a scorching 36.5 degrees in August, and as a result, the best time to travel is between November and April – perfect for a winter sun/early spring getaway.

The UAE is a fantastic destination, but we do recommend to be aware of the do’s and don’ts before going, as things such as swearing in public, for example, are against the law.

Some of the most ornate attractions include the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper, Palm Jumeirah, an iconic manmade island in the shape of a palm, and Dubai Marina which provides beautiful views of Dubai’s cityscape. So, whether you’re travelling with a group, in a couple, or with the family, Dubai will not disappoint!

No visit is complete without a visit to Yas Island. With so many attractions - Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros.World Theme Park there is plenty to do on a day trip to the island. Or relax instead at the marina or beach for a blissful day out. The city also has a fantastic night scene, with a great variety of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Ajman is located just an hour north of Dubai and provides an alternative type of holiday to the rest, with a modern, laid-back coastal city centre. The beautiful beaches are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a host of watersports and fishing excursions. Whilst the area of Al Zorah, in the northern region of Ajman, offers a nature reserve and a world-class Jack Nicklaus golf course.

With the Liwa Oasis right on your doorstep, indulging in a trip to the desert is often at the top of everyone’s list. Desert experiences include a 4X4 Dune Safari, camel riding and sandboarding, all of which can be often be tied into a dinner and camping experience.
