Old Course overview

One of the finest courses in Ireland, the Old Course at Lahinch is a links classic. With holes carved through huge dunes hugging the wild Atlantic coast some would argue that this is the finest natural links course, you will find anywhere in the world. Every hole offers something different and is an examination in itself, two of which are infamous blind holes, and coupled with awesome panoramic scenery, the ruins of Dough Castle and a family of goats that roam freely across the land, this is a golfing experience you won’t forget.

At just under 7000 yards off the tips the course is wild, windy, quirky and insanely fun, and we highly recommend using the services of one of their local caddies as this will richly enhance your visit.

Signature Holes

The notorious Klondyke par-5 5th hole forces the golfer to play over an intimidating dune wall to a 'blind' green, although the toughest hole on the course has to be the par-4 15th. With very narrow fairways and close-cut rough, this hole requires a good drive and an even better approach shot into a small green.

Did You Know?

There are actually two courses at Lahinch with the Old being the famous one and also the Castle course, which is a fun par-69 measuring less than 5500 yards from the tips.
