Day 1: Travel & Golf d’Hardelot

Hardelot Les Pins is ranked the no.13 course in France and no.64 ranked course in Europe by Top 100 Golf Courses

An early start on Sunday morning saw us set off from our Windsor office to catch the LeShuttle. The journey proved to be very easy, arriving in Folkstone at 8am and hopping on the 35-minute shuttle across to Calais – everything was seamless!

Once in Calais, we were quickly made our way an hour south to Golf d’Hardelot for our first round of golf on the Les Pins course. The course was a fantastic track which was thoroughly enjoyed by the team, in particular, our very own Ben Platt shooting in the red!

Les Pins is a fantastic layout, lined with trees and rolling greens, and we could instantly see why this is one of Europe’s best ranked golf courses. Nestled in a fragrant pine forest interspersed with gentle sand dunes, it delivers a parkland feel with subtle elevation changes. It’s a beautiful, contemplative test for golfers who value precision, character and history – and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it!

Les Dunes Golf Course at Golf d'Hardelot

Finishing the round, we headed over to the clubhouse at the neighbouring Les Dunes, which hosts a beautiful terrace overlooking the 18th Green guarded by a lake, which was the perfect spot for a cold drink post golf.

That Afternoon, we checked into the Red Fox in central Le Touquet, the rooms were comfortable and perfect place to stay for a few nights, but even better was the location. The hotel couldn’t be in a better location, right on the doorstep we had the lively atmosphere of Le Touquet, surrounded by bars and restaurants the town seemed to be buzzing with nightlife.

We headed of for dinner at the Café De Sports which was is a very popular spot amongst our clients, and we could see why. With great food and a great buzz, this was exactly what we were looking for.

To finish off a brilliant day, we headed to the Globetrotter, a busy bar on the hotel’s doorstep, with live sport, darts board and a great vibe this was the perfect place to end our first night before the next day!

Day 2: Belle Dune

Golf de Belle Dune is ranked the no.18 course in France by Top 100 Golf Courses

Monday morning, we were up bright and early to drive over to the magnificent Belle Dune. Ranked as one of the best courses in France this was a fantastic opportunity to test ourselves on the tricky and infamous par-6!

The course was in excellent condition, with a superb blend of links, forest, and dune terrain. The fairways are fringed by pines and birch, before sweeping into golden sand dunes, often with the sea breeze adding an extra challenge. The par-3 12th was a particular highlight, with a picturesque setting between the dunes. With all to play for coming down 18, it provided a great finale testing all abilities.

Golf de Belle Dune

Stopping for lunch, most of us indulged in the club’s croque monsieur which was the perfect post round lunch before we headed back to Le Touquet for the evening.

The evening’s scene was set by the golden sunset cascading across the near empty, picture-perfect beach. Dinner on the beach, and a few drinks was the perfect vibe for any group and provided us with some gorgeous views. After dinner, we headed back into town to visit the infamous l’Impasse bar. This bar was a personal favourite from our trip offering a buzzing atmosphere and great music!

This evening, we stayed at Le Bristol hotel, located just 5 minutes from the main nightlife. The stay here was wonderful, greeted by brilliant staff and comfortable rooms, Le Bristol was a superb option, with the bar downstairs it offers a variety of options if you wanted a quieter night.

Day 3: Golf du Touquet

Golf du Touquet La Mer is ranked the no.12 course in France and no.12 course in Europe by 100 Golf Courses

Our final day was all about La Mer, despite the sore heads from the night before we were all were excited for this one! Welcomed by the lovely team at Golf du Touquet, we were straight into the thick of it.

Designed in 1931 by the legendary Harry Colt with input from Charles Alison, it offers dramatic views, sweeping standouts, and natural terrain that demands strategic golf. This is a proper layout with links characteristics - firm, undulating fairways, formidable bunkers, large dunes and challenging greens.

La Mer Course at Golf du Touquet

The course provided a great test for the varying abilities of our groups, and we particularly enjoyed the incredible panoramic views on the 18th hole from the tee. The closing stretch is excellent following the restoration work in 2017 - superb for some matchplay!

Post round we stopped for lunch on the lovely terrace overlooking the courses before starting a scramble competition on the La Foret, which was a gentler course but very enjoyable experience, the two courses were both kept in great condition and was a fantastic end to the trip.

Finally, we set off back to Calais to make the return trip home, another easy journey home really showed how easy this trip is to do.
