Established in 1991 the Canyon Course has certainly made a name for itself, playing host to various memorable tournaments in the past including the Honda Invitational in 1996 and twice the Johnnie Walker Classics Tournament, once when Tiger staged one of the most astounding comebacks of the game to see Ernie Els defeated in a playoff for the final hole.
