Set along the turquoise-lagooned east coast of the island, the Links Golf Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage is considered one of the best golf courses in Mauritius.

Designed by Rodney Wright and Peter Alliss, the course unfurls over gently undulating terrain that nods to traditional links design but with a distinctly Mauritian twist. Expect volcanic rock outcrops, lush fairways, palm-lined roughs, and the occasional lagoon glimpse.

Though shorter than its sister layout (the Legend), the Links is no pushover. Water hazards come into play on six holes, rocky terrain and undulating fairways challenge drives and approach shots, and the back nine demands tactical decision-making - especially when coastal breezes pick up, and seas spray across the landscape.

Signature Hole

One of the standout finishing challenges is the 18th hole, a dog-legged par-4 where the approach must carry over a pond to reach a green that sits beside the bay. This hole’s risk/reward nature - coupled with an ocean vista - makes it a memorable way to end a round.

Another hole frequently praised for its strategic interest is the 2nd hole: a double-dogleg par-5 that tempts aggressive play - reaching the green in two is possible, but only if you trust your swing.

Post Round

The golf clubhouse itself provides a comfortable place for a post-round meal or drink, often enjoyed with views over fairways and the Indian Ocean beyond.

Facilities include a practice range, putting and chipping greens, club and buggy rental (with GPS carts), a pro shop, locker rooms, and a Golf Academy offering lessons - ideal for those looking to refine their game.
