The Laranjal Course at Quinta do Lago Golf Resort is a standout parkland layout designed by Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva, and opened in 2009. Measuring approximately 7,086 yards (from the back tees), par-72, this championship track delivers a rewarding challenge. With five par-5s, eight par-4s, and five par-3s, the course blends variety with strategy. Laranjal is ranked #6 in the Algarve by Top 100 Golf Courses.
From tee to green, accuracy is essential - narrow fairways, water hazards, elevated or well-protected greens, fast putting surfaces, umbrella pines, orange trees and several lakes all come into play. The fairways are Bermuda, ensuring good playability year-round.
Signature Holes
Hole 11 (Par-4 / approx. 180-yards): A demanding par-4 (approx-distance depending on tee) with a sizeable lake to the right and a sweeping “beach bunker” running along that side. The tee shot must avoid the lake, and the approach requires precision. Even though it's shorter than many other par-4s, the threats make it one of the most intimidating holes for all levels of golfer.
