Wexford Golf Club
East Ireland, Ireland
Wexford Golf Club overview
Established in 1961 Wexford Golf Club offers a scenic parkland course overlooking Wexford town and the Irish sea.The 18-hole layout blends mature trees, rolling fairways, and challenging greens. Though not long, it rewards accuracy and smart play. The welcoming clubhouse, located just next to the putting greenm, features a bar and restaurant with coastal views. A great stop in Ireland’s sunny southeast, Wexford Golf Club suits all skill levels and promises a memorable round.
Course overview
After undergoing significant renovations in 2006, Wexford now offers a tough test of golf, with the course measuring 6,580 yards from the championship tees. A unique feature of the course is the back-to-back par 5s at the start of the back nine; however, once they are out of the way, the back nine doesn't offer many other scoring opportunities with a particularly tough stretch of holes to finish.
Signature Hole
The 12th hole, stroke index 1, is certainly one of the most memorable holes on the course. Playing 400 yards off the back tees, it requires a precise drive to set up a chance to put on close on your approach shot, but be aware of the water that awaits short left of the green!
