Golf Courses
The Emirates Golf Club can certainly be considered as one of Dubai’s best clubs and with its two superb golf courses, it is unsurprising to learn that its popularity has led it to be a host of numerous professional and amateur tournaments. Both the Majlis Course and Faldo Course are special and offer a quality golf experience well worth a visit when in Dubai.
The Majlis Course is known as the flagship course, a challenging 7,301-yard par-72 known for its immense length, challenging tee shots and lightning-fast greens. Designed by Karl Litten the course was built on the dunes on the edge of the city of Dubai, meaning the course has some beautiful natural undulations you are unlikely to find anywhere else.
Originally opened in 1996 under the name the Wadi Course, Nick Faldo redesigned the course in 2005 and it was thusly renamed the Faldo Course. Measuring at 7,052-yards par-72 the course is characterised by its perfect use the natural surroundings, plus, its LED floodlights mean you can play this incredible course at any time of day!

Majlis Course
Opened in 1988, the Majlis Course was nicknamed “The Desert Miracle” when it became Dubai’s first all-grass championship course. The Majlis Course has developed a worthy reputation worldwide as a testing layout for even the best golfers. The course features hundreds of indigenous species of flora and fauna, beautifully complemented by meandering fairways and seven fresh and saltwater lakes.
Faldo Course
The Faldo Course designed by the man himself is destined to become a classic. Built on naturally rugged terrain, the course bears many of the hallmarks of Faldo’s other designs, such as the varied tee shots and deceptive bunkers. There is a natural wadi that runs the length of the course, which often comes into play without being classified as a hazard, another feature that sets this course apart. This is a magnificent course that provides a test for all levels of golfer.
