A golf holiday in Brittany is extremely popular and for good reason, with large numbers of golfers visiting every year. Brittany benefits from being one of the easiest to access regions in France, with regular ferries into Saint-Malo and regular flight routes, a golf break to Brittany has never been more convenient. The landscape is perfect for golf and with the delicious fresh cuisine, Brittany has all the makings of a top golf destination.

What makes Brittany golf courses so well-known is not only the dramatic landscapes which they inhabit but also the great value on offer here for golfers, world-class golf can be played at super low prices.

There are some outstanding Brittany golf courses to be played on your golf break, all of which are kept in great condition year-round although especially in the spring and summer. Saint-Malo golf course is a track you don’t want to miss, located on the Emerald Coast it’s the biggest course in Brittany covering 250-acres of land, built round the Mirloup Lake meaning many of its picturesque holes have a water feature.

Saint-Laurent is another course which golfers need to check out in Brittany, notable for being a host of the French Professional Championship and the National Open. The tree-lined fairways, devilishly placed bunkers and a multitude of lakes make this one of the trickier Brittany golf courses.

Traditional French hotels & luxury resorts

As you would expect, Brittany Is not short of accommodation options, with luxury and affordable hotels and resorts aplenty. Located in the heart of Dinard, it offers all the charms of a great seaside retreat with excellent dining options and fantastic leisure facilities.

If you’re looking for a resort with on site golf away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, Saint-Malo Golf Resort is ideal for you. The 19th century style hotel sits within 100 hectares of parkland, overlooking the beautiful Mirloup lake. The elegant rooms are very spacious and air-conditioned with their own balcony or terrace. The hotel also features an outstanding restaurant in the l'Etang, offering a vast selection of local cuisine.

A stone’s throw from the beach, it has everything you need an enjoyable relaxing French golf break. Some other fantastic options include Hotel Tumulus and Hotel La Mareaudiere.

Casinos, seafood & historic villages

A wildly beautiful area of France, Brittany offers so much for you to see and do when you’re not on the fairways. With so many pretty scattered islands, pristine beaches, forests, castles and medieval towns, it is a perfect spot for those seeking nature, history and adventure. Not to mention there is a fantastic array of bars and restaurants offering delicious French cuisine.

If you enjoy history, you must visit Mont-Saint-Michel-Bay where an enormous abbey dominates the top of the mound dating back more than a thousand years. Josselin Castle is also worth checking out.

Alternatively, you can visit one of the most atmospheric settlements in the region which hasn’t changed much since the middle ages, the pretty walled town of Dinan. It boasts medieval buildings and cobbled streets crowd around the banks of the Rance river as well as some really nice cafes and restaurants.
