Aliante Golf Club
Las Vegas, USA
Aliante Golf Club overview
A tranquil location in the heart of rural Nevada just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas strip lies the Gary Pranks designed Aliante Golf Club. Opened in 2003 and recognized as ‘Best New Course in Las Vegas’ by Vegas Golfer Magazine, this well run and kept facility is a great all-round golf experience.
Highlighted by two water features, generous landing areas, and strategic use of Pear and Purple Locust trees that are uncommon on most desert courses, the meandering arroyo (dry creek) that comes into play on 14 holes causes the golfer to feel slightly elevated.
An expansive practice facility that includes a 40+ station driving range, functional short game area, and a large putting green is perfect for a pre-round tune-up. Aliante also has your post-round covered with the fully stocked 3100 Grille ready to serve you some delicious food and well-earned drinks.
Aliante Golf Club, course overview
Aliante opened in 2003 and is a Gary Pranks design characterized by two water features, generous landing areas, and strategic use of trees that aren’t normally found on desert courses, such as Pear and Purple Locust trees. At 7000-yards in length from the back tees, the course has received numerous accolades throughout the years including a place in the ‘Top 10 Public Golf Courses in Las Vegas’ and ‘Best New Course in Las Vegas’.
The hole par 5 550-yard 11th hole is a beauty, where golfers must drive over water onto the fairway which then requires precise positioning to maximize your chances of getting onto the tricky undulating green in three. Plus, throughout the hole, you’re treated to the most incredible views of the rural Nevada mountains which perfectly encapsulates the desert golf feel of the course.
