Why women in golf matters
Golf should feel welcoming, inclusive and accessible to everyone. Yet many women still face barriers when it comes to getting involved or progressing in the game.
Creating spaces where you feel supported, encouraged and inspired is how we help change that. When more women feel confident to pick up a club, travel to new courses and experience a tournament week, the game grows stronger for everyone.
As the first tour operator to sign the R&A Women in Golf Charter, our commitment goes beyond hosting events. It is about long-term, sustainable change and making sure you can see a place for yourself in golf, whatever your starting point.

For more than 25 years, Golfbreaks has been helping golfers experience the very best of the game. Since launching our Women in Golf initiative in 2019, our focus has been simple: to create meaningful, inclusive and inspiring experiences designed with you in mind.
Whether you are picking up a club for the first time, rediscovering your love for the game, or planning your next bucket list golf break, our women’s events, tournaments and travel experiences are built to help you learn, play, travel and connect.
Our events welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, from complete beginners to single-figure handicappers.
2025 Highlights
The Golf Groove Social, March 2025
Sixty women came together in Wimbledon for an evening centred around fun, learning and connection. With coaching from PGA Professionals, interactive games and a relaxed atmosphere, the focus was on building confidence and creating space for women to learn without pressure.
The energy in the room showed what happens when women are given supportive, welcoming environments to explore the game.

"It’s wonderful to see a brand so actively promoting women’s golf and taking real steps to bring women golfers, of all abilities together!" ~ Stacie Bourke
Royal Ascot Photoshoot, April 2025
Representation matters. Women from our Windsor office came together at Royal Ascot Golf Club to create imagery that reflects the real faces of the game. When you see women playing, travelling and enjoying golf, it becomes easier to picture yourself doing the same.

Royal Ascot Women’s Golf Day, May 2025
Hosted in partnership with Women’s Golf Day, this free nine-hole event welcomed women of all abilities. For some, it was their first step onto the course. For others, simply time well spent playing with friends.
Events like this demonstrate how removing cost and intimidation can open the door to more women experiencing golf.

Skratch Birmingham, June 2025
Our first Women in Golf event outside London reached new communities in a relaxed simulator setting. The informal environment helped break down traditional barriers, offering an approachable introduction for those who might not yet feel ready for a full round on the course.

AIG Women’s Open, July 2025
Twenty-two guests joined us at Royal Porthcawl, including fourteen on our first dedicated women’s hosted trip. Alongside championship tickets, guests enjoyed a welcome dinner and a post-tournament round of golf.
The buzz of tournament week, shared conversations and time on the course combined to create a memorable, community-led experience.

Nine and Wine, August 2025
Women from across the Golfbreaks business came together for nine holes at Royal Ascot Golf Club, followed by drinks and conversation. Designed to feel welcoming and relaxed, first-time golfers played alongside more experienced colleagues, reinforcing that ability level does not define belonging.
Golf can be competitive, but it can also simply be about connection.

Pitch Winter Social, November 2025
Fifty women came together at Pitch Canary Wharf for an evening of golf and networking. The atmosphere was lively, supportive and full of shared experience.
For anyone who has ever worried about walking into a room alone, this was proof that you will find people just like you.

"So much fun meeting other like-minded golf girls, I also nearly won nearest the pin! Such a great vibe, with thoughtful goodie bags to top it off! Can't wait for the next event!" ~ Kate Steele

“As a new golfer, the Golfbreaks Womens events are the exactly the kind of thing I love for every lady trying to get into golf. The community spirit at every event is amazing with ladies coming from all around, alone, as part of a group, as a new golfer, as an experienced golfer but you'd not be able to tell this when you look at everyone together on the night, it looks like a group of women who just love golf and have come together to have a great time and get involved with a sport they love.” ~ Hannah Rickerby (Business Owner, CRM Platforms at Golfbreaks)
