An iconic road trip through southern Utah, Mesquite and Las Vegas showcased the very best of desert golf. From Sand Hollow and Wolf Creek to Cascata and Reflection Bay, the trip combined iconic courses, standout resorts and memorable off-course moments across the American Southwest with some of the golfs biggest YouTube sensations Bob Does Sport!

Day 1

The trip began with arrival in southern Utah and check-in at the brilliant The Ledges of St. George Vacation Rentals. The evening set the tone for the week with dinner at the on-site Fish Rock Grille, offering the first taste of the region’s relaxed resort atmosphere.

Day 2: 36 to start the tour!

The trip’s first full day began with an early tee time at one of Utah’s most recognisable and highly regarded courses, Sand Hollow Resort. Consistently ranked as Utah’s best public course by Golf Digest, Sand Hollow delivers sweeping desert views, dramatic elevation changes, and a rugged layout that tests every part of your game. It proved to be a challenging but unforgettable way to open the itinerary.

With little time to slow the pace, the afternoon brought a short journey back to The Ledges Golf Club, located on-site at our accommodation, for a second round of the day. Playing against the backdrop of the surrounding red rock scenery, it rounded out a full and rewarding day on the course.

After two demanding rounds, the evening was kept intentionally low-key with a relaxed takeout dinner back at the resort, allowing everyone to unwind, reflect on what had been a brilliant day of golf ticking of two of St. George's best courses.

Day 3: Taking on Copper Rock

Day three began with a short drive and a pre-round breakfast at Copper Rock, offering a relaxed start before heading out onto the course. With immaculate conditioning and a scenic desert setting, Copper Rock provided a different challenge to the opening day, mixing risk and reward par-4s with lengthy par-5s

The round continued the strong momentum of the trip, with wide fairways, well-protected greens and views that highlighted the natural landscape throughout. After another quality day of golf in southern Utah, the evening offered a chance to unwind and prepare for the journey south into Mesquite the following day.

Day 4: Journeying to Mesquite

The final Utah round was played at Coral Canyon. Set against a striking desert backdrop, the course offered a contrasting layout that balanced dramatic scenery with a playable, enjoyable design. With elevation changes, expansive views, and a welcoming routing, Coral Canyon proved to be an ideal ending to our Utah leg of the tour.

The journey continued south into Mesquite, with the group checking in at the Eureka Resort and settling into the next phase of the trip. The resort blends modern comfort with lively entertainment, making it a top choice for a Nevada golf holiday.

In the evening, we at the superb on-site Gregory’s, where the menu’s signature southern-style steaks provided the perfect way to round off the day, combining quality dining with a relaxed resort atmosphere.

Day 5: The halloween special at Conestoga

Day five brought a round at Conestoga Golf Club, one of Mesquite’s most popular layouts and just a short ten minute drive form Eureka Resort. Known for its elevation changes, thoughtful routing, and memorable tee shots. The course offered a demanding, but enjoyable challenge, rewarding good shot-making while keeping the round engaging from start to finish.

The day also featured the filming of a special Halloween episode, adding a fun and creative dimension to the experience. The combination of quality golf and content creation made it one of the most memorable days of the trip, blending on-course action with off-course entertainment.

Day 6: A bucket-list day

A true highlight of the trip came with a round at the world-famous Wolf Creek, a course that needs little introduction. Renowned for its dramatic elevation changes and bold design, the layout demands commitment on every shot and offers an experience unlike anywhere else. From tee to green, the round delivered a genuine bucket-list moment and lived up to its reputation as one of the most recognisable courses in the region.

The day concluded with a private dinner at the Sportsbook, providing the ideal setting to watch an NFL game, have some fun wagering on the match and reflect on what had been a superb tour so far!

Day 7: Challenging Cayote Springs

An early morning breakfast for one final time at Eureka before checking out and heading to Coyote Springs.

Golf at Coyote offered a welcome change of pace, with wide fairways, generous landing areas, and a more open layout set in a remote desert location between Mesquite and Las Vegas. The course encouraged confident play from the tee while still rewarding smart positioning and course management throughout the round.

With its sense of space and relaxed rhythm, Coyote Springs provided an ideal transition as the trip continued west toward Las Vegas, allowing the group to enjoy a different style of desert golf while maintaining the momentum of the journey.

Day 8: Early rise for Cascata

One of Las Vegas' premier golfing destinations, Cascata Golf Club delivered a premium golf experience from the moment we arrived. Even before the first tee shot, the journey in sets it apart, entering through the tunnel carved into the mountain creates a real sense of occasion and makes the day feel different from the rest of the trip.

On the course, everything matched that first impression. The conditioning was exceptional, the service was seamless and the layout offered plenty to think about without ever feeling unfair. Every detail, from the practice facilities to the pacing of the round felt polished and purposeful, which is exactly what you hope for at a venue of this calibre.
