Millennium, Vilamoura overview
As the name says, Millennium, Vilamoura opened in 2000 with half the holes on the course belonging to the former 27-hole course, the Laguna Club. The additional nine holes and refurbished old holes were designed by Martin Hawtree, the renowned course architect.
The club boasts excellent practice facilities shared with the Laguna Club and a great clubhouse where golfers can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. With a delicious range of dining options to choose from and views overlooking the course, this is a brilliant spot to unwind after your round.

Millennium Golf Course boasts an excellent parkland layout that all golfers will enjoy and shows off some superb holes. The par-3 6th, for example, is a wonderful short hole with a lake waiting for any stray shots that come its way.
The Millennium Course can challenge even the most experienced golfers and make for a thrilling experience; the arrival of this course helped Vilamoura to become one of the main golfing destinations in Europe.
Signature Holes
It is hard to choose a single hole as the course has so much to offer. Two holes that stand out in particular are the 17th and 18th, greens are guarded well by lakes and bunkers, however, a simple course strategy is certainly the best approach for these final two holes.
