Situated amidst acres of stunning tranquil gardens, the par 66 Sapphire Course is shorter and more forgiving than its big sister, The Emerald. However, it does have tricky, tight greens and awkward approach shots making pin-point shot accuracy a must.

The Sapphire Course is designed to hone the skills of beginner and veteran golfers in the finer points of the short game.

Designed by golfing stars Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas in 1975, the 18-hole Sapphire Golf Course along with its sister course, the Emerald, make Macdonald Hill Valley Spa, Hotel & Golf Resort one of the Top 10 golf venues in the UK.
