Golf courses at Sea Island Resort Golf Club
Seaside Course
The Seaside Course is an ocean-side links that combines a beautiful natural setting with a golf course that is both challenging and fun. Tidal creeks, salt marshes, manicured fairways, sweeping dunes, and the Atlantic Ocean create a true Scottish links experience, which plays fast and firm. Seaside is the number one course on property, and along with the Plantation course, it is the home of the PGA TOUR’s RSM Classic.
Plantation Course
The Plantation Course is a tree-lined parkland layout with relatively wide fairways and generous greens making it extremely playable for all golfers. The course has numerous ancient oak and cedar trees, and there is danger to be found in its tidal creeks and lakes. Its early designer Rees Jones called this course a ‘parkland by the sea’ because of its amazing combination of Atlantic Ocean views and the spectacular in-land scenery.
Retreat Course
The Retreat Course at Sea Island is the most approachable of the resort’s three layouts and a favourite among guests. Designed by Davis Love III and his brother Mark, it features wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and a relaxed pace of play, making it an ideal choice for golfers of all abilities. While less demanding than the Seaside or Plantation courses, it still offers clever shot-making opportunities and memorable holes.
