Whirlwind Golf Club Cattail Course overview
The Cattail Course at Whirlwind Golf Club, designed by Gary Panks, is an 18-hole, par-72 layout stretching a huge 7,218 yards and is able to be lengthened off of the championsip tees. Opened in 2002, it offers a blend of strategic play and natural beauty, with broad fairways, undulating greens, and stunning views of the Gila River landscape.
The course incorporates native plants and desert terrain, creating a challenging yet visually captivating golf experience.
Signature Holes
Hole 15 – Horn Toad: A downhill par‑3 admired for its stunning views and name steeped in respect for local fauna. Be very careful with club choice here as danger awaits any overhit shot.
