Set amidst the untouched Sonoran Desert of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Saguaro Course at We-Ko-Pa offers a pristine, immersive golf experience. The design duo of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw opted for a minimalist approach. Aiming to preserve the land's natural contours, washes, and desert vegetation.

Wide fairways, striking mountain vistas, and the absence of homes or other development along the holes make for a rare "just you and the desert" round. The walking-friendly layout makes this one of the more enjoyable 18-hole experiences in the Scottsdale & Phoenix area.

Signature Holes

While there are many standout holes on Saguaro, one that frequently earns mention is the par-3 4th. From the back tee, you're looking at around 255 yards into a well-protected green - making it one of the more demanding short holes in the desert setting. The strategic positioning of bunkers and the way the land slopes around the putting surface exemplify the Coore/Crenshaw design ethos.
