Legends Parkland Course overview
Length: 7,108 yards | Par: 72 | Architect: Larry Young (inspired by Alister MacKenzie) | Opened: 1992
The Parkland Course at Legends Golf Resort is a classically styled layout that contrasts beautifully with its more dramatic sister courses. Drawing inspiration from the timeless design philosophy of Alister MacKenzie, Parkland places a strong emphasis on strategy, flow, and natural beauty.
Set among towering Carolina pines and sprawling oaks, the course features wide landing areas off the tee, contoured fairways, and expansive, undulating greens. While less visually intimidating than the Moorland Course, Parkland still delivers a stern challenge, especially around the greens, where subtle breaks and clever bunkering demand a sharp short game.
At over 7,100 yards from the tips, it’s a test for low handicappers, but multiple tee boxes and forgiving sight lines make it playable and enjoyable for mid-to-high handicappers as well. It’s a thinking golfer’s course, rewarding precision, course management, and patience.

The Parkland Course enjoys full access to the Legends Golf Resort’s central facilities:

- Comprehensive practice area including driving range, putting green, and chipping zone
Signature Holes
- 3rd Hole – Par 4: A picture-perfect hole with a slight dogleg and elevated green, where approach placement is key to avoid three-putting on the large surface.
- 10th Hole – Par 5: A true three-shot par 5 with a tree-lined fairway, fairway bunkers in play off the tee, and a raised green guarded by deep traps.
- 18th Hole – Par 4: A strong closing hole with a generous landing area that narrows into a bunker-flanked green, perfect for finishing your round with focus.
Post Round
After your round, take in the relaxed atmosphere of the Ailsa Pub or visit the nearby putting greens for a casual post-round challenge with your group. This is a course that leaves a lasting impression for all the right reasons, subtle, strategic, and beautifully balanced.
