Overview

The Lakeside Course was the first layout to be built at Kings Island and opened for play in 1993. Designed by American architect Robert McFarland, the course measure just over 6,500 yards and as the name suggests features a lot of water with it coming into play on 14 out of the 18 holes.

Although it’s not long by modern standards, the course is still a good test for all levels of golfers, with accuracy off the tee key to shooting a good score. Small greens are well protected by water and swamp land meaning that your approach play needs to be on point in order not to rack up a big score.

Signature Holes

The par-3 16th hole plays 226 yards from the championship tees and requires a good shot to hit the large island green. Protected by two large bunkers and water, if you manage to walk off here with a three you are a happy golfer.

Did You Know?

The Lakeside Course is floodlit, meaning that you can play any time of day and have the unique experience of playing golf at night.
