Ashbury Pines Course overview
The Pines Golf Course is the second longest course at Ashbury Golf Resort, offering a well-balanced challenge for golfers of all abilities. Originally constructed at the turn of the century, it has matured into a scenic and rewarding test of parkland golf.
The front nine is known for its wide fairways and gentle slopes, giving players the opportunity to score well even if their game is not at its sharpest. In contrast, the back nine presents a more demanding challenge, with tall, tree-lined fairways that call for precision, accuracy, and respect to maintain a strong score.
Signature Hole
The standout on this course is the 4th hole, a short but tactical 270-yard par 4. Accuracy is essential, as the uphill drive plays to a narrowing fairway guarded by three ponds on the right and large trees on both sides. Golfers face a strategic decision: take the risk with a driver or lay up with an iron for a safer approach.
Choosing the latter leaves a short iron into a long, narrow, three-tiered green, making this one of the most memorable and challenging holes on the Pines Golf Course.
