Calderfields Hotel, Golf & Country Club
Calderfields has a local reputation of being one of the best Parkland courses in the area. The combination of well-placed hazards and mature trees certainly require the golfer to wear plot his or her way round. The clubhouse has a very relaxed friendly atmosphere – a place one can certainly enjoy post-round and enjoy the surroundings.
At just over 6,500 yards, Calderfields is a course not to be sniffed at. From the 1st tee to the 18th green you will require accuracy and skill to tame the course. Once you have found the green, you will still face a challenging putt as the greens are undulating, but run very true.
The signature 8th hole is certainly one to look forward to, an accurate drive will place you in perfect position to have a controlled second shot which has to carry the water hazard just short of the green – it is S.I. 1 for a reason! The clubhouse looks onto the 18th green and proves very popular with the groups who enjoy watching the remaining golfers finish up.
