The Wales National Course overview
The Wales National at The Vale Golf Club is one of the longest courses outside of the USA, measuring at a massive 7433 yards off the Championship tees. Opened in 2003 and constructed to USGA standards, it is one of the UK and Europe’s newest championship courses. The Wales National has played host to Euro-Pro and Challenge Tour events, the Sky televised FIRST PLUS Wales Seniors Open in 2006 and the Wales Challenge Tour in 2007.
Offering spectacular views of the Welsh countryside and decorated by water features throughout, this 18-hole 7,433 yards course provides a challenge for even the most experienced golfers. A Peter Johnson design, the course features mature woodland, wide and narrow fairways with a host of bunkers to keep things interesting.
