The Palmer Course
at Reunion Resort & Golf Club
Orlando, USA
Overview
Location: Orlando, Florida | Style: Parkland | Par: 72 | Designer (Opened): Arnold Palmer (2004)
Still often called by its original name, the Legacy Course, the Arnold Palmer design at Reunion Resort is a true “resort-style” layout infused with strategic bite. Wide, generous fairways welcome golfers, but elevation changes of up to 50 feet, rolling terrain, and bold bunkering ensure that every hole presents a challenge.
Built on former citrus groves and preserve land, the routing flows through woodlands, wetlands, and sections of the resort’s residential community. The design strikes a balance between forgiving stretches and more demanding, visually dramatic holes - particularly on the back nine. Water hazards and forced carries come into play at key moments, underscoring Palmer’s classic risk-reward philosophy.
Signature Holes
-
Hole 7 (Par 4) – The Palmer’s most iconic hole. From the back tees, golfers must carry water and sand to reach the green. It’s a quintessential “go for it or play safe” moment, often played with the Reunion Grande tower as a backdrop.
-
Hole 3 (Par 5) – A demanding early challenge that winds through oak trees and wetlands, with a long bunker running along the left side. Precision is required, and it feels tighter than expected so early in the round.
Post Round
The Palmer Course shares its clubhouse with the Watson Course, located beside the Reunion Golf Resort. Golfers will find everything needed for a premium day on the course, including:
- Pro shop stocked with gear and apparel
- Locker rooms for comfort and convenience
- Casual dining options are ideal for unwinding after a round
