The par-4 11th is a great hole. Bordering the cliffs on one side, golfers need to thread their way through large sand dunes to a green that sits before the crashing sea. It is one of many challenging par-4’s at Ballybunion and off the back tees measures a lengthy 470-yards.

Ballybunion Golf Club leapt to prominence with North American golfers when the acclaimed golf writer Herbert Warren Wind wrote an article in the 1970’s proclaiming the Old Course at Ballybunion to be ranked amongst the world’s top 10 courses.
