If you’re looking to book a golf break in 2021, while the weather is still good and before the days get too short, we would highly recommend the QHotels group of golf resorts.

With a collection of eight distinctive hotels and a range of challenging courses to choose from, there is sure to be a golf resort that will suit your needs. QHotels golf courses have hosted at least 40 professional tournaments and are highly rated in their PGA regions. Their luxurious surroundings and the range of activities on offer make them attractive locations for a sumptuous golf break.

Moorland mansion

One of Golfbreaks’ favourite QHotels resorts is Slaley Hall 4* Hotel - a luxurious Edwardian mansion set in 1,000 acres of striking Northumberland moorland with two championship courses, including the Hunting Course, a former host of the PGA Seniors Championship.

The Priestman is also of championship standard and maintained to a very high level. Slaley Hall has hosted no fewer than eight European Tour and Senior Tour events, easily claiming it’s place up there with the best of the UK’s golf resorts.

Slaley Hall Hotel has 135 bedrooms and six luxury suites, all elegantly decorated, some retaining original Edwardian features.

Dining highlight: Indulgent afternoon tea in the Dukes restaurant.

Slaley Hall offers much more than challenging golf and luxury accommodation. Book an indulgent spa break or take advantage of the onsite outdoor adventure team who can arrange quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery, paint balling, segways and more for an exhilarating action-packed holiday.

What our golfers say:

“The staff were excellent across the golf courses, bars, restaurant and reception and the golf courses were superb!”

Lincolnshire lakeside resort

From Northumberland to Lincolnshire, our next featured hotel is the idyllic lakeside resort, Belton Woods 4* Hotel, which is surrounded by 475 acres of beautiful countryside. The modern complex offers a range of fantastic dining and leisure experiences that promises guests a relaxing golfing break.

Belton Woods Golf Club offers two championship length courses - the Lakes, measuring 6,774 yards, and the Woodside, which measures 6,623 yards. It previously hosted the prestigious PGA European Seniors Tour from 1995-1998.

Further resort facilities include a state-of-the-art Techno Gym, squash court, indoor pool, and the Serenity Spa. Or if you love action-packed breaks choose from a range of exciting outdoor activities, including Segways, mountain biking and archery.

Dining highlight: We recommend the contemporary Executive Chef offers at Stantons Brasserie.

What our golfers say:

“We went there, 36 of us, during May Bank Holiday weekend and we thought the weekend was brilliant. We could not fault anything, the two golf courses and the food/drinks. The accommodation was brilliant.”

Characterful Norfolk country house

For an elegant golfing getaway, consider the beautiful Grade II listed country house, Dunston Hall, built in 1885 by Robert Kellet-Long, which boasts many of the beautiful original features which retain its character. Set in 150 acres of wooded parkland, Dunston Hall Golf Club boasts a scenic USGA-rated golf course.

Dunston Hall Golf Club

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Norwich, Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort offers a wide range of leisure facilities making it a truly exceptional golf break. Other facilities include a floodlit driving range, putting green, football golf, gymnasium, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and indoor swimming pool.

Dining highlight: The Garden Terrace Bar which offers gorgeous views of the hotel gardens in addition to its lovely light menu.

What our golfers say:

“Hotel and facilities superb. The golf course, although on the short side for the big hitters, is very testing and the greens were the best I've played on this year-fast and faultless. My companion and I are single figure golfers and loved it - you have to think and plan your way around! It is worth the money just to putt on the greens.”
