Palmer's Legacy Course overview
Location: Orlando, Florida | Style: Parkland | Par: 72 | Designer (Opened): Arnold Palmer (2004)
Often still referred to by its original name, the Legacy Course, the Palmer layout is Reunion’s “resort-style” design with plenty of strategic flair. While it features broad, generous fairways, the course is far from easy - elevation changes of up to 50 feet, rolling terrain, and aggressive bunkering demand thoughtful play.
Largely set across a former citrus grove and natural preserve land, the design weaves through woodlands, wetlands, and resort home sites. The routing balances open, forgiving holes with tighter, more visually dramatic stretches, especially on the back nine. Water hazards and forced carries make appearances in key holes, underpinning the “risk and reward” nature that Palmer was fond of.
Signature Holes
The par-4 7th hole is widely said to be the standout on the Palmer's Course. From the back tees, players face a carry over water and sand to reach the green. It’s a classic “go for it or play safe” moment, with the Reunion Resort tower often visible in the backdrop.
Another notable hole is the par-5 3rd, which navigates through oak trees, wetlands, and a ribbon of sand along the left - tighter and more demanding than many would expect early in the round.
