The Fazio Course is known for its classic parkland character and strategic layout, offering a balanced test that rewards thoughtful play. Tom Fazio, who redesigned the course, believed his design was “that ideal balance where single-digit golfers will be fully challenged while higher handicaps will have a layout ideal for a day of enjoyable resort golf.”

Tree-lined fairways and carefully positioned bunkers shape play from the tee, while greens are slightly elevated and well protected, placing an emphasis on accurate approach shots.

Golf course overview

The Fazio Course offers a traditional feel, with less reliance on water hazards and a greater focus on shaping shots and managing angles. Fairways are generous but demand precise placement to avoid bunkers and set up approaches.

The course flows naturally through the landscape, making it one of the most aesthetically pleasing layouts at PGA National.

Signature hole

The 6th hole is certainly one of the most eye catching on the course. With water framing the right hand side of the fair and the approach shot leading to the mighty three-tier green.

Post round

Golfers can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere after their round, with easy access to the resort’s bars, restaurants and leisure facilities.

Classic and understated, The Fazio Course rewards smart shot-making and controlled approach play. Its traditional parkland feel and natural flow make it one of the most enjoyable rounds at PGA National and definitely one we recommend adding to your stay at PGA National.
