Wolf Course

Las Vegas, USA
Wolf Course overview
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | Style: Desert | Length: ~7,604 yards (from back tees) | Par: 72
The Wolf Course stands as the most formidable of the trio at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Club. The Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and Wolf courses combine to create a stunning 54-hole golf club.
Set against the rugged backdrop of Nevada’s desert and mountains, this layout is dramatic, bold and uncompromising. Designed by Pete Dye (with contributions from Perry & Cynthia Dye) to be “bigger and badder.”
From the back tees it stretches to 7,600 + yards - the longest 18-hole course in Nevada. Its rolling terrain, alternate landing areas, desert waste zones and sculpted greens require exacting play from tee to green. For the golf-traveller seeking a proper Las Vegas golf experience, The Wolf delivers both in spades.
The Wolf Course is ranked in Golf Digest's Top 20 Golf Courses in Nevada list.
Course highlights
- Length & challenge: At approximately 7,604 yards from the tips, The Wolf is the longest layout in the state of Nevada.
- Signature island green: The par-3 15th hole demands precision with a true island green.
- Strategic design: Tight fairways, hefty bunkering, desert waste areas, and dramatic elevation changes elevate the test.
- No residential development: The setting retains an “untouched” feel - just golf and nature.
- Five tee boxes: Though it’s a beast from the back, the five teeing options allow more moderate lengths for varying skill levels.
Signature Holes
Hole 15 (Par-3): From the back tees it plays around 180 + yards and features a dramatic island green set amidst desert waste - one of the standout visual and strategic moments on the course.
The green’s surrounds are subtly sloped, increasing the premium on accurate approach shots and putting.
Post Round
After your round, the resort’s clubhouse provides a suitable setting to decompress: enjoy a drink or meal overlooking desert vistas, review your round, and take advantage of the lounge and pro-shop amenities. The resort’s quality conditioning and service ensure the post-round experience matches the intensity of the round itself.
