Golf Club Overview
Shipyard Golf Club features 27-holes of championship golf. Adding to the beauty and character of the of these golf courses are many lagoons and ponds, which must be negotiated if you are to play to your handicap. The three courses, Brigantine, Clipper and Galleon, offer four tee positions to accommodate all levels of play, and there are ample risk and reward situations to allow optimal scoring opportunities. The club is home to a range of fantastic facilities including a practice range, practice area and a pro shop.
Situated in the natural majestic setting of Hilton Head Island among Carolina pine trees, flowering magnolias, and moss-draped oaks, this 27-hole golf club offers three championship golf courses. The Brigantine, Clipper and Galleon. The greens are large and well bunkered and there are plenty of sand and water hazards.
The clipper course requires a good long game and a soft touch around the greens and may be the most difficult of the nines. The Galleon course meanders through large oaks and tall pines and requires heavily guarded greens. Built in 1982, the Brigantine course is filled with water hazards where Alligators sun themselves near its lagoons and ponds.
