Robber's Row Course, Port Royal Golf Club
Hilton Head, USA
This Pete Dye designed Robber’s Row Course is one of two great courses at the magnificent Port Royal Plantation. Originally designed by George Cobb and Willard Byrd back in 1967, Dye was able to add his touch with the redesign in 1994.
The course is rich in history and has strong links with the Civil War, some parts of which took place on the very ground where the course sits today. To make golfers aware of this, there are several markers around the track which describe exactly what happened in the area. Be sure to take a look at them as you plot your way around the course.
With plenty of lush trees and interestingly designed hazards, Robber’s Row provides players with a beautiful setting and a fair challenge.
